signs of the times... or just down the street.

So all of you nacogdochian locals will have for sure seen by now the nice electronic sign brought to our small town by the lamar company on the corner of north and east college. this sign seems to be more of a random oddity and a distraction than actually advertising anything. for now all it does is show pictures that say lamar on them, im sure that will change soon, but for now we can just stare in awe as we marvel at the wonders of technology while ignoring the cars in front of us.

i think it was yesterday that someone suggested we go out and sit in front of the sign on lawn chairs and bring pop corn for a few hours. and as intentionally sarcastic as it was said, i think there might be some actual potential for some entertainment. at least one nights desperation of not knowing what to do can finally be resolved.

i understand that this is a busy corner and for all intents and purposes its the best place to put the signg so that people will be sure to see it. at the same time it sticks out like a soar thumb and im really not sure what to think about it right now. it really caught me off guard seeing a bright yellow glowing sign saying brought to you by lamar. and then seeing a sign that says, it changed again. i think that one was red.

so until further pondering, anyone up for a realy short drive in movie?
